3D Orbital Gallery is an immersive WebGL powered gallery that arranges images across multiple rotating rings to create a cinematic orbital motion effect. Instead of a traditional grid or carousel, images are positioned along circular paths that rotate around the center, forming a layered 3D structure with continuous movement and depth.
Users can interact with the gallery through scrolling or dragging, which dynamically influences the speed of the rotating rings. Each ring distributes images evenly along its orbit while additional rings expand outward to display more content. The rings rotate in alternating directions, creating a balanced and visually engaging motion.
The component also includes subtle post processing effects such as RGB shift, film grain, and vignette shading. Built with Three.js and optimized for Framer, it delivers smooth performance while turning image galleries into immersive visual experiences.
