Halftone Media FX
Halftone Media Engine is a real-time halftone and dithering system for images and video, built to bring texture, rhythm, and controlled abstraction into Framer. Grid and tone controls allow precise adjustment of size, spacing, polarity, and intensity — from subtle print effects to bold graphic transformations.
The engine is driven by two effect layers. Shapes define the visual language, offering 30 distinct halftone forms ranging from classic circles and ovals to expressive shapes like asterisks, backslashes, droplets, nimbus clouds, triangles, and stars, with optional shape scaling for added depth. Modes define behaviour, with 30 global effects including rotation, ripple, wave, pulse, breath, twist, and more abstract motion systems.
Colour handling supports original media colours or Mono View, where you define a custom palette for a cleaner, more graphic output. The result is a flexible, high-performance effects engine suited to editorial layouts, experimental sites, motion-led branding, and generative visuals — all fully controllable from the Framer canvas.
