Star Particle Cursor is a particle cursor component that transforms ordinary interactions into magical moments. Built with WebGL and powered by THREE.js cursor rendering, it creates a sparkling star cursor effect where twinkling particles follow your mouse movement. This interactive cursor is perfect for adding custom cursor animation and immersive interactive UI elements to portfolios, landing pages, or creative websites.
Copy the Component from the left panel in Framer.
Choose your implementation method:
Option 1: Individual Page
Paste the component under the Desktop Frame (top level, not inside content).
Option 2: All Pages (Site-wide)
Create a Template in the right panel (on Desktop Frame).
Paste the component above the placeholder content.
All pages using the template will inherit the magic cursor trail.
Setup Notes:
Place the component at the top level under Desktop Frame.
Invisible by default, so it won’t affect page layout.
Only visible in Preview mode and live sites (not on Canvas).
Set position to Absolute, top/left = 0, and Z-index = 10.
The cursor trail component includes 13 intuitive controllers grouped into:
Visibility Controls: Toggle mobile display and cursor visibility.
Visual Style Controls: Adjust star colors, particle size, softness, and glow for a sparkle cursor or glowing cursoreffect.
Animation Controls: Manage movement speed, fade-out, twinkle intensity, and short-range behavior for a dynamic animated cursor.
Particle Behavior Controls: Control trail width, spread dynamics, and depth for a shooting star cursor look.
Advanced Motion Controls: Fine-tune motion sensitivity and response for smooth cursor following effects.
Customizable Particle Animation – Full control over star colors, size, blur, and effects.
Mobile Optimization – Option to hide the effect on mobile for performance.
