If you were browsing the web circa 1998, splash pages were everywhere. Flash-powered intros with dramatic music, spinning logos, and “Welcome to our website!” animations were a standard part of the design process. Those days are long gone, but they haven't vanished entirely. Brands still use splash pages for age verification, country and language selection, or simply to create a bold first impression.
Derick Fiebiger — Shoe Hero
This week’s winner is Derick Fiebiger. He created an eye-catching hero design featuring a Nike Air shoe. It starts with a subtle outline, then gradually fades into a fully rendered design.
Akansha Soni — Spider-Man
Akansha Soni created a fun animation using the Animator plugin. The animation features a spider web that radiates outward in the background, giving the hero a unique feel.
Can Çevik — QR Code
Can Çevik’s cute submission starts with a QR code being drawn, followed by a slick scan animation. To finish it off, there’s a smooth transition to the Framer logo.
ALsJourney — Visublocks
ALsJourney’s animation features a top layer with text that appears with a line animation. As you move the text, the particle background animates in the same direction, creating a parallax effect. To demonstrate, ALsJourney recorded a video.
