How to set up a funnel

Framer’s built-in A/B testing makes it easy to run experiments and measure results on your site.

What are funnels used for?

Funnels are a great way to measure the conversion rates of the pages of your site. Most web pages have a clear goal that can be measured through a conversion event. This can be a click on a link, a form submission, or navigation to a different page on your site. Funnels make it easy to understand visitor conversion rates and view results over time.

Setting up a funnel

It’s easy to set up a funnel in Framer. Open the analytics view of your site. In the menu on the left, you’ll see an option called Funnels. Click the plus and a new funnel will be added. You can give it a custom name to identify it later on. The next thing to do is to add steps. Steps consist of one or multiple pageviews, link clicks, or form submissions. By adding multiple tracking IDs to a step, it will be counted when any of these tracking IDs is triggered.

Viewing results

You can view the conversion rates per step in the funnel view. Alternatively, you can view the conversion rate over time by hovering with your mouse over the graph.

Adding filters

You can add filters to a funnel by clicking on the plus next to the filters in the right menu. With filters, you can deep dive into the conversion rates of visitors browsing from a specific type of device or country. Adding multiple filters of the same type will act as an OR filter, so if any of those filters are true, the data will show up.
