Using Components

Learn what Framer components are, where to find them, and how to use both free and paid options.

Components in Framer are pre-built design or code elements made by creators in the community. They help speed up your workflow by letting you drop in polished functionality without starting from scratch.

Components range from simple UI elements like buttons to advanced interactive components built with Workshop. Whether you’re building your first site or customizing a complex layout, components give you flexible building blocks to work faster.

Finding components

You can discover components in a few key places. The Framer Marketplace offers reviewed components that meet submission standards. The Resources space in the Framer Community is another source where creators share tools and assets. You’ll also find components shared widely across the Framer community—on social platforms, forums, and individual creator websites.

How to use free or paid components

Once you’ve found a component you like, adding it to your project is simple. For free components:

  1. Visit the Marketplace.

  2. Click “Copy Component” on the component you want to use.

  3. Open a Framer project and paste the URL.

For paid components:

  1. Visit the Marketplace.

  2. Click “Purchase for…” on the component you want to use.

  3. You’ll be taken to the creator’s checkout page.

  4. Review the details and complete your purchase.

  5. After checkout, you’ll receive a component URL or remix link by email.

  6. Use the URL to paste the component into your project, or open the remix link.

Refunds and support

Framer doesn’t process payments or refunds for components. Each one is sold directly by its creator, so make sure to check their refund policy before buying. You’ll find support contact info on the component’s detail page.

If you’re unable to reach the creator, contact us at creators@framer.com.
